"Private Eye" Camera Inspection System

The Private Eye System from R.S. Technical Services is a full function, portable mainline sewer inspection system that includes an Omni Eye III Zoom color camera and a mainline tractor transporter. The Private Eye system is able to support mini mainline systems such as the 1500 Series color cameras. The tractor is a 6-wheel, gear-driven unit adjustable for pipeline sizes 6"-36" in diameter. The tractor has three forward speeds, reverse, stop functions, and a freewheel mode for easy extractions. The hand-held controller operates the tractor functions. The Private Eye is an integrated system. A rugged, stainless steel case houses the video monitor/VCR, the 1315 or 1515 mainline controller and the DD Lite data information/video overlay system. The case is mounted on a compact, portable, wheeled mainline reel. A hand-held camera/tractor controller, lowering rope, top manhole roller and tiger-tail cable guide complete the system.

Jet Camera System for municipalities and contractors.

System consists of three components: Camera, Reel, & Controller.

Camera: The camera is a color, Hi-Res wide lens, preset focus, and large dept field, utilizing (4) Zion light bulbs in stainless steel housing. The camera operates on 12-volt power. Camera will be installed on the front of a jetter nozzle skid.

Reel: Reel is constructed from aircraft grade alum., anodized for corrosive protection. The reel holds 750 feet of 3/16" double armor sincon wire. The reel is designed to operate of a 12 volt DC automotive battery. A 1/6 HP gear reductive chain drive motor powers the reel. The reel has power in, power out and freewheel. The torque and speed adjustments of the reel are controllable by a special controller.

Controller Unit: The controller is housed in a NEMA 4 watertight box. The picture is viewed on a LCD 9-inch screen. A special 12-volt VCR is included in mounted box.

Optional upgrades: Footage encoder and measure wheel are mounted on the reel. A micro-process overlay unit is built into the control unit.

The Omni Eye III Zoom Camera

The Omni Eye III Zoom Camera contains all solid state circuitry. This camera is designed to operate in sanitary sewers and storm drains while mounted on tractor transporters or pull skids. The compact size ofthe Omni Eye III is ideal for the R. S. Technical Services crawler series transporter. It is capable of operating with up to 2,500' of double-armored, single-conductor mainline cable. The Omni Eye III camera has a pan and tilt head with built-in lighting and zoom. Camera head swing and rotation, lamp intensity and zoom features are remotely controlled and adjustable from the operating viewing stationor at the cable reel. The home function returns the camera head to the straight-ahead and centered position. The Omni Eye III Zoom incorporates high-resolution video with total zoom capabilities of 40X: 10X optical and 4X digital. Zoom features include manual or continuous autofocus, manual or continuous auto iris and adjustable shutter speed for improved low light performance. Accessories include maintenance kit with replacement parts, durable foam-lined storage and transportation case. Other options include PAL format and inclinometer. Operation and installation manuals included. Other features include: An automatic, on-screen, over-voltage protection indicator to inform the operator if the voltage is excessive at the camera at any time. A color bar generator located within the camera allows the operator to check or adjust the color hue and intensity from the viewing station. Lamp intensity, lens focus, iris aperture, camera head rotation and swing can be remotely controlled and adjustable from the viewing station. The camera is designed to withstand the rigorous environment of sanitary sewers and storm drains. It is designed to withstand the shocks and vibrations normally sustained while traveling through a perforated pipeline. Its operating temperature range is zero to 50° Centigrade, and be sealed to withstand external pressures of up to 50 psi without leakage. The Omni can be transported through the pipeline either on skids or mounted on an optional motorized tractor transport vehicle. A self-sealing pressure test port is provided at the back of the camera for checking its leak resistance. Nova Star Zoom Camera

The Nova Star is designed to operate in wet environments, such as sanitary sewers and storm drains, while mounted on tractor transporters or pull skids. The compact size of this camera makes it the ideal solution for the RS Technical Services crawler series TransStar transporter. In addition, it is capable of operating on up to 2,500' of double-armored, single conductor or multi-conductor cable.

Features include:
High-resolution video with total zoom capabilities of 40X: 10X optical and 4X digital. Zoom features include manual or continuous auto focus, manual or continuous auto iris and adjustable shutter speed for improved low light performance.

Integrated pan and tilt head with built-in lighting. Camera head swing and rotation, lamp intensity and zoom features are remotely controlled and adjustable from the operating viewing station or at the cable reel. Return the camera head to the straight-ahead and centered position with the Home Function.

Accessories include maintenance kit with replacement parts, durable foam lined storage and transportation case and operation and installation manuals. Available options include PAL format and an inclinometer function.

1545 Series Ultra Mini Mainline Video Camera

The 1545 camera features superb self-leveling, automatic upright viewing for inspecting small pipelines. Designed for maintenance departments, plumbing contractors and municipalities starting or expanding existing pipeline inspection capabilities.

Standard Push Reel for 1545 Series Ultra Mini Mainline Video Camera

The push cable reel has a steel frame and a 30-inch diameter basket that is capable of holding up to 300-feet of .375-OD integrated push rod/single conductor cable.

A permanently sealed mercury wetted slip ring assembly allows noise-free video transmission and maintenance-free operation.

The push reel is supplied with a 14-foot RG-58 coaxial cable that is terminated with an "N" connector at both ends for the connection from the push reel to the controller.

The reel offers easy portability. It weighs less than 35 pounds when loaded with 200 feet of push cable.
