We believe these to be the most advanced Mobile Digital Video Recorders on the market. State-of-the-art 3rd Eye MobileVisionTM recorders are engineered to be as tough as they are easy to use. They work like a standard VCR, except they playback crisp video and audio from a hard drive or compact flash card that plugs directly into your computer via a USB connection. Some cities have discovered the value that event recording can provide. You might dash-mount your choice of camera on a sweeper or garbage truck, for example, and then pair it with the digital video unit. With the push of a button the vehicle operator can then note anything he/she spots that needs attention, e.g., pavement needing repair, abandoned or illegally parked cars, low tree branches, etc. Event playback with the HC460/HC860 is easy. It features eight sensor inputs for marking events. A search can be conducted by time, date, or emergency. When in playback mode, the user has the option to choose "fast forward" (at rates of x2, x4, or x8), "rewind," "pause," and "stop." The HC460/HC860 offers crisp video at 720 x 584 resolution for DVD quality playback. Industry-best sound quality is recorded on 4 individual audio channels on the HC460 and 8 channels on the HC860. IntelliTrax® VSMTM
High resolution video and audio with IntelliTrax Virtual Synchronized Mapping (VSM) may be integrated into the HC460/HC860 systems. The VSM feature displays a map of exact position, name of street, speed and time with full synchronization to the video cameras. The VSM collects all detailed map information of a vehicleÕs travels and displays this information onscreen including speed, direction, and location, which comes standard on the IntelliTrax VSM. Other information recorded includes door activity, reverse, brake, stop arm, right turn, left turn, and amber lights. These are all included on the new VSM. There is no subscription fee for VSM GPS. All cameras are synchronized with the unit's visual map thus removing the question about where and when an event occurred.
